The easiest way to learn the 3 times table
Double the number, then add it once more: 3 × 7 = 14 + 7 = 21.
Check with the digit sum: the digits of every answer add up to a multiple of 3 (27: 2 + 7 = 9).

Which facts are really new?
Swapping the order does not change the answer (3 × 3 = 3 × 3), so if you already know the tables up to 2, only these 10 facts are new: 3 × 3, 3 × 4, 3 × 5, 3 × 6, 3 × 7, 3 × 8, 3 × 9, 3 × 10, 3 × 11, 3 × 12.
The pattern in the last digits
