The 6 times table
The 6 times table lists 6 × 1 up to 6 × 12. Below you will find the full chart, the quickest way to learn it, the few facts that are really new, and free practice.
The full 6 times table
- 6 × 1 = 6
- 6 × 2 = 12
- 6 × 3 = 18
- 6 × 4 = 24
- 6 × 5 = 30
- 6 × 6 = 36
- 6 × 7 = 42
- 6 × 8 = 48
- 6 × 9 = 54
- 6 × 10 = 60
- 6 × 11 = 66
- 6 × 12 = 72
The easiest way to learn the 6 times table
Double the 3 times table: 6 × 7 = 2 × 21 = 42.
Or take 5 of it and add one more: 6 × 8 = 40 + 8 = 48.
When 6 multiplies an even number, the answer ends in that number’s last digit: 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48.
Lesson: The 3, 6 and 9 Times Tables
Which facts are really new?
Swapping the order does not change the answer (6 × 3 = 3 × 6), so if you already know the tables up to 5, only these 7 facts are new: 6 × 6, 6 × 7, 6 × 8, 6 × 9, 6 × 10, 6 × 11, 6 × 12.
The pattern in the last digits
The last digits of 6 × 1 up to 6 × 10 are 6, 2, 8, 4, 0, 6, 2, 8, 4, 0. Then the pattern starts again.
